Wave Senegal recruits 01 FP&A Analyst

In this role, you’ll:

• Collaborate across all levels of the organization by developing a deep understanding of Wave’s business model, including products and market strategies, competitive context, and internal processes
• Performs quantitative analysis of operational and financial data
• Builds and manages financial databases by organizing and analyzing a wide rage of data sources
• Prepares budget and forecast financial information
• Analyzing variances in financial results between actual, budget and prior month
• Builds and maintains corporate financial model that details the entire company’s operations and projects future performance based on the key drivers of the business
• Performs ad hoc analysis for senior management team

• Location: You’ll work from our office in Dakar.
• You must have work authorization in Senegal.
• This is a permanent position.

Requirements

• Expert Excel skills; extensive experience building three-statement financial models and analyzing large data sets
• Articulate verbal and written English communication skills; ability to distill complex analyses into structured outputs and present to all levels of management
• Highly organized, independent, and self-motivated
• Ability to think creatively and critically, and thrive in a dynamic and often ambiguous work environment
• Working knowledge of GAAP
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics or finance
• SaaS or FinTech industry experience
• Intermediate Knowledge of SQL and strong prior experience
• Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.
• Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
• Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity

Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA highly preferred
• 5+ years experience as Manager or Director of Financial Planning and Analysis
