Luis Campos, directeur sportif du Paris Saint-Germain, a mis fin aux spéculations liant son avenir à celui de Kylian Mbappé. Bien qu’ils aient travaillé ensemble à l’AS Monaco et qu’un transfert potentiel de Mbappé au Real Madrid ait conduit à des rumeurs selon lesquelles Campos pourrait le suivre en Espagne, le Portugais a clairement démenti toute telle intention. Campos, qui a également été employé par le Real Madrid entre 2010 et 2013, affirme qu’il ne se base pas sur la présence de Mbappé pour prendre ses décisions professionnelles.

Il insiste sur le fait que son arrivée au PSG n’a pas été motivée par le fait que Mbappé y était déjà, et qu’il n’a aucun projet de suivre l’attaquant français en Espagne. Lors du Thinking Football Summit à Porto, Luis Campos a clarifié sa position concernant son avenir et sa relation avec Kylian Mbappé.
« Je ne suis pas en accord avec ces spéculations. J’ai simplement reçu une invitation du PSG, de son président, pour travailler au sein du club. Ce fut un plaisir de retrouver Mbappé, que j’avais déjà accompagné lorsqu’il a émergé à Monaco. Je lui souhaite bonne chance pour la suite », a-t-il déclaré.
Campos a également préféré ne pas commenter le conflit actuel entre Mbappé et le PSG, évitant de se prononcer sur cette situation délicate.
