In 2007, the Women for Women giving circle established The Women’s Fund at the Community Foundation for the Land of Lincoln. Its mission is to increase awareness and address the needs of women and children in Sangamon County and surrounding counties by promoting women’s philanthropy, empowering women to take action, creating results, and inspiring hope and possibility for women.

Early Grant Information for NGOs
The general focus area for the 2021 Women for Women grant cycle is women’s and children’s issues in Sangamon County and surrounding counties. Recipients are expected to provide a written mid-year progress report and end-of-year grant report in the year following the grant award, as well as an in-person presentation to the membership at Women for Women’s annual fall luncheon. Special consideration will be given to those programs that:
Are not duplicative or similar to those of other agencies;
Are collaborative with other agencies or entities; and
Have measurable results.
Funding Information
Up to $25,000 for a one-year grant will be awarded for the 2021 grant cycle.
Preference will be given to large, impactful grant requests, however, multiple awards MAY be granted.

Climate Fund to alleviate energy poverty in Developing Countries
This Request for Applications is open to strengthening the Economic Development Efforts
Grants for African CSOs to implement activities in SGBV, SRHR, HP, and VAWG
Small Research Grants for the improvement of education
This grant-making trust inviting Charities to help Socially Disadvantaged Groups during COVID-19
Support available for NGOs working on social innovation, inclusiveness and sustainability
Advocacy grants to strengthen the voice of communities and grassroots activists
USD $250,000 to $2 million funding available for each selected partner to address Covid-19 impact in select countries
Funding provided through capital support for community development projects
Endowment Funding of € 25,000 for young people fighting for freedom

Seed Funding for Youth-led Organisations: Invitation to Submit Proposals
Grant Opportunity to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 and Future Pandemics
Each grant program at the Foundation is unique in what it funds and who is eligible to apply. Applications are generally accepted from:
Registered 501(c)(3) charitable organizations;
Faith-based organizations (proposals must benefit all, regardless of religion, and be for service provided which is not religious in nature);
Public or private schools (proposals must be for projects that exceed the school’s budget funding)
Units of government or municipalities.
Process and Timeline
Letters of inquiry will be accepted from all interested charities who meet the grant criteria. The Women for Women Grant Committee will review the letters of inquiry and invite selected charities to submit a full grant application.

Charities will be notified by March 1, 2021, whether they are being invited to submit a full proposal.
Deadline for full proposals is March 31, 2021.
